Altaf Hazi boasts over 20 years of extensive experience in both IT and management roles. Following his graduation from the University of Leeds, Altaf embarked on his career journey by joining a national retailer, where, despite being one of the youngest managers, he swiftly made a mark. Leveraging his expertise in systems and data analysis, Altaf spearheaded the transformation of a struggling store into one of the region’s most prosperous outlets.
With over a decade spent honing his skills in the realm of retail management, Altaf transitioned to a leadership position within the education sector. Here, he assumed dual responsibilities, heading both the IT and Maths departments while serving as a deputy headteacher. His innovative approach to delivering the IT curriculum garnered recognition from the OCR exam board, leading to his appointment as an invigilator for their IT course, here he ensured the consistency and quality of GCSE coursework marking across multiple schools in Northern England.
Throughout his career, Altaf has held diverse roles, including as the Head of IT for a legal training firm, where he played a pivotal role in driving growth and expansion through his oversight of IT and finance systems.
Altaf’s expertise lies in his ability to analyse and optimise systems without compromising on the end-user experience, a skill that has consistently positioned him as a sought-after professional in his field.
In his current capacity as Director of IT and Finance at Educating Excellence, Altaf continues to demonstrate his prowess by spearheading the development and optimisation of comprehensive systems and processes tailored for educational institutions.
